About Legacy Learning

We're Randy and Lynn Shear, a husband-and-wife team with over two decades of experience in education. Since 2003, we've taught in public schools, churches, homeschool co-ops, and universities. For the past thirteen years, we've also homeschooled our four daughters, who are now in middle and high school.

Today, we specialize in offering high-quality online writing classes for middle and high school students, alongside practical tech courses designed to equip students with real-world skills. Lynn leads our writing instruction with a creative, structured approach that builds confidence and communication skills. Randy teaches tech classes that help students explore everything from digital tools to computer science concepts, all from a biblical worldview.

As homeschooling parents ourselves, we understand the value of faith-based, flexible, and engaging education. Lynn serves as the writing teacher and reading tutor, while Randy is the administrator and tech instructor. We love helping students grow in their understanding of the world God has made and develop the skills He has given them.
